Heavy, Mellow, and Never Better!
Born on a sweltering summer afternoon in the valley of Northern California, Down the Well is a raw, rock/alternative band with a sound that is commonly referred to as “heavy mellow”. Fronted by locally known Minnie Mental, a petite yet boisterous singer & songwriter with a sultry and powerful presence. The band’s songwriting has a unique balance of punchy rhythms mixed with with the synergistic melodies of vocals and guitar they are often compared to such bands as Jane’s Addiction and Alice in Chains. Down The Well formed when Drummer JP Bergmann and singer Minnie Mental (both former members of popular local band Furlough Fridays) started a new project seeking to take their songwriting to the next level. They found that challenge in Lead Guitar player Abe Nesbitt, whose last collaborative project was a metal trio based out of LA called The Ambulance. Down the well spent all of 2016 on songwriting and recording with Tommy Fogg on bass. They are now getting ready to release their debut EP “Never Better” on April 22nd 2017.
