Bo Lozoff

Award-winning singer/songwriter Bo Lozoff has been intermittently writing and performing his songs for almost forty years in the background of his career as director of Human Kindness Foundation. Bo's work with prisoners around the world has drawn fans as diverse as the Dalai Lama, Mister Rogers, and Outlaw Biker Magazine. Bo's first book, "We're All Doing Time," has been hailed by Village Voice as "one of the ten books everyone in the world should read."

In September 2001, Bo entered a year of total silence as a personal practice to benefit the world. Within a few months of his return to speech and music, nearly a dozen new songs burst forth, resulting in his new CD, "Whatever It Takes." Three of the songs from that album won awards in Billboard Magazine’s World Song Contest. His newest release, November 2006, called “Eyes So Soft,” has also won awards and garnered superlative reviews.

CD Baby describes Bo and his music this way: If Bob Dylan and John Prine had a love child who was raised by the Dalai Lama
